DRIVING KENYA FOUNDATION PROJECTS

WHO WE ARE

The primary objective of the Driving Kenya Foundation is the general relief of poverty. To achieve this objective, ten specific target areas have been identified. You can read more on these objectives here.
The Foundation has three arms of raising funds to achieve their objectives:

One In A Million

To eradicate extreme poverty requires a lot of money the Foundation did not want to go for donors so it came up with One In A Million where one can donate a minimum of Kshs 100 per month purely to address the above objectives. Visit the One In A Million website

One In A Million which was launched in mid 2007 was shelved for a while but has now been launched again and you can visit the website to register. The other two fundraising projects will soon be launched.

The reality of 16.5 million Kenyans living in abject or extreme poverty was the major driving force in the establishment of the One In A Million fundraising initiative.

One In A Million is the first fundraising project undertaken by the Foundation. Donations of at least Kshs100 per month from individual Kenyans will be a start to the alleviation of poverty in the country.

The funds raised will be used by the Foundation to fund the identified ten major areas of concern. Each subscriber will be able to choose the specific area of concern they want their contribution to go to. We shall also have other charitable purposes of a public character established for the relief of poverty as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.

Omega 10000

It was also realized that for those people who would not donate but would rather invest then Omega Holdings was born with an initiative called Omega 10000 where we invest to save industries and start new ones from agriculture to motorbike assembly plants from housing to medical centres etc so long as the driving force is social good and not profits.

	From here it was also decided to target major brands with an initiative called Just 1 Shilling where the said monies are directed towards slum replacing, creating jobs and indeed creating harmony and goodwill within the classes.
